Platinumlist Launches Plus Subscription to Target Saudi Frequent Event-Goers

4 Min Read

Saudi-based entertainment discovery platform Platinumlist has officially launched Platinumlist Plus, a paid membership programme aimed at the Kingdom’s most avid event attendees. Saudi Arabia has been chosen as the initial market for the programme’s full public rollout, signalling a strategic focus on the country’s rapidly expanding entertainment sector.

Quick Facts

  • New paid membership programme launched in Saudi Arabia.
  • Targets users attending seven or more events annually.
  • Members get early access and exclusive pricing.

Tapping Into Saudi’s Super-Fans

The launch of Plus directly targets a key segment of Platinumlist’s user base. According to the company’s internal data, this group of “super-fans” attends approximately seven events per year—three times the platform average. They also book tickets about 30 days in advance and spend up to five times more than a typical customer.

This move addresses a clear behavioural trend, particularly among consumers under 35 who make up around 71% of Saudi Arabia’s population. With Gen Z and young adults increasingly prioritising real-life experiences and social events, Platinumlist Plus is designed to offer them greater value and access. The programme provides early access to tickets, special member-only pricing, and invitations to exclusive events. New users get the first month free, followed by a monthly subscription of USD 7.90, with discounted six-month and annual plans also available.

A Play for Loyalty in a Booming Market

The introduction of a membership model comes as Saudi Arabia’s entertainment economy continues its expansion under Vision 2030, which aims to increase household spending on in-Kingdom cultural and entertainment activities from 2.9% to 6%. The live entertainment market alone is valued at $2.98 billion.

“Over the past decade, we have seen live entertainment in Saudi Arabia become a part of regular social life. Now we have around 24 event categories at an accessible average price of SAR 250,” commented Cosmin Ivan, CEO at Platinumlist. “Platinumlist Plus gives frequent event-goers better value and a more direct route to the experiences they already plan around.”

With the Saudi Arabian entertainment market projected to hit $5.36 billion by 2031, sustainable growth will depend on audience retention. The Plus programme is structured to build a loyal base of repeat customers, moving beyond simple ticket transactions.

A Focused Channel for Organizers

Beyond the consumer benefits, the Plus membership offers a strategic advantage to event organizers by creating a direct channel to a highly engaged and high-spending audience.

“For organisers, Plus gives a more focused route to high-intent audiences, and gives fans access that feels more personal than a standard ticket purchase,” said Moayad Qudus, Senior Business Development Manager at Platinumlist. “At launch, we’re onboarding selected partners to maintain the quality of the programme and build a consistent membership experience.”

This curated approach aims to ensure that the membership offers genuine value while providing organizers with a reliable base of attendees for their events.
