Port Said University has signed a cooperation protocol with Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones to support investment awareness, entrepreneurship and practical training for students and graduates.
The agreement was signed by Port Said University President Sherif Saleh and Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, in the presence of Mohamed Farid, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.
According to the announcement, the partnership will include training programs, workshops, seminars and joint events covering investment, company formation procedures and the services provided by the authority.
The initiative also aims to build students’ and graduates’ practical skills, encourage faculty members and students to engage with the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and support owners of innovative ideas and projects in developing their businesses.
Farid said cooperation between universities and the investment authority can help young people understand available investment opportunities, incentives and procedures for starting companies. The protocol is also intended to connect university education with labor market needs and encourage entrepreneurship as part of efforts to improve Egypt’s investment environment.
University and authority officials said the partnership would help expand investment education among young people and provide a more supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
