Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University has launched the second cohort of its Spin sports technology accelerator in Riyadh, introducing a new identity for the program.
The cohort follows the accelerator’s first edition, which included 13 startups. The launch event also featured a review of the first cohort’s progress, new partnerships and the startups joining the latest edition.
Spin runs for 10 weeks in a hybrid format, combining remote participation with in-person sessions in Riyadh. It targets startups from Saudi Arabia and abroad that have moved beyond the idea stage, with a focus on pre-seed and seed-stage companies.
According to the announcement, the accelerator helps founders test products with customers, refine business models, reach the market and prepare for investment. It also connects them with experts, investors and partners across the sports ecosystem.
The program is supported by the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Monsha’at and the Saudi Esports Federation, alongside investment and accelerator partners. The university said the second cohort builds on the first edition while strengthening links between startups, the market and the sports sector.
