Minya University has launched a three-day training camp for 110 students focused on turning challenges into viable ideas and solutions.

The “From Challenge to Idea” camp brings together students from different faculties as part of the university’s efforts to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship skills. It is being organised in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and the Egypt Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.

The programme covers design thinking, problem identification and analysis, idea generation, teamwork, and solution development. Students will also work on Business Model Canvas frameworks and practise pitching their ideas through professional presentations, using feedback to refine their concepts.

University President Essam El-Din Sadeq Farahat said the institution aims to help students build more than academic knowledge by developing their ability to think creatively, take initiative and create opportunities. He added that the university hopes to support promising ideas beyond the training stage and help develop them into practical projects.

The university said the diversity of participating students’ academic backgrounds will encourage knowledge-sharing and help produce solutions aligned with community and market needs.
