AI-Powered Curation for Doha’s Cultural Scene

First launched in early 2025, the QM AI Tour now supports four languages, including its original English and Arabic versions. The platform acts as a personalized cultural guide, using an AI Art Specialist to engage users in a conversation about their interests before building a custom itinerary.

The system then directs visitors through their chosen cultural landmarks, providing contextual information, directions, and insights at each location. The goal is to move beyond a one-size-fits-all tour and offer a journey tailored to individual preferences.

Interactive Features Push Deeper Engagement

The upgraded platform introduces several interactive tools to enrich the visitor experience. A real-time question-and-answer function allows users to ask for more details on demand, supported by both voice and chat interfaces.

A notable addition is an image-recognition tool that lets visitors take a photo of an artwork to receive instant information and analysis. Each stop on the curated tour is supplemented with AI-generated summaries and detailed content pages. For logistics, the platform integrates with navigation services like Google Maps and Uber.

Aligning with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030

Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, this initiative supports the broader goals of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030. The project highlights the country’s focus on using digital innovation to boost its cultural and tourism sectors.

The platform also syncs with QM’s digital calendar, allowing it to provide exhibition recommendations based on a user’s location, timing, and stated interests. Additionally, visitors can use generative AI features to creatively reinterpret artworks through guided prompts. This expansion coincides with QM’s 20th anniversary and is part of the “Evolution Nation” program, which celebrates 50 years of cultural development in Qatar.
