Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has launched the Regulatory Record Report, a digital service that allows consumers and businesses to review a company’s compliance record before signing a contract.
The report provides basic business information, including a company’s name, licence number, activity and licence status. It also includes compliance indicators such as complaints and violations, administrative closures, complaint classifications and the company’s responsiveness in resolving complaints, according to the announcement.
Companies can pre-authorise the disclosure of their compliance data, with consent recorded under approved procedures. If a company has not provided prior consent, MOCI will notify it when a report is requested, and the report will only be shared after approval.
The service is intended to give businesses, founders and consumers in Qatar an official reference when assessing suppliers, contractors or potential partners. It also offers companies with strong records a way to support their credibility through verified regulatory information.
Users can access the service through MOCI’s website by logging in via Tawtheeq and selecting Digital Platform Services, Services, Inquiries, then Compliance Record Report.
