Qatar-based investment firm Rasmal Ventures has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi consulting firm Strategic Gears to support companies expanding between Saudi Arabia and Asian markets.

Under the agreement, Rasmal Ventures will provide Strategic Gears and its clients with access to business networks and investment opportunities across Asia. Strategic Gears will support Rasmal Ventures and its portfolio companies with market access and local partnerships in Saudi Arabia.

The companies said the partnership is designed to help businesses navigate market entry, regulatory requirements and competitive conditions while identifying customers, investors and commercial partners in new markets.

The agreement comes as Rasmal Ventures builds its investment footprint in Asia. Over the past year, the firm has invested in companies in Hong Kong and South Korea while developing relationships with founders, co-investors and businesses in the region. The firm is described as Qatar’s first institutionally backed investment firm and is backed by institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds, including the Qatar Investment Authority.

Strategic Gears, founded in Riyadh in 2015, operates through seven offices across three continents and provides strategic consulting and market-access services. The partnership combines its Saudi market expertise with Rasmal Ventures’ investment networks across Asia, creating channels for Saudi businesses seeking international growth and Asian companies looking to enter the Saudi market.
