Saudi Arabia has launched a grant program offering up to SR500,000 per project to help cultural enterprises adopt or develop artificial intelligence technologies.
The Cultural Development Fund (CDF) introduced the AI Incentives for Cultural Projects in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the Quality of Life Program, and in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. It is the first track under the CDF’s Numou Incentives program.
The initiative will support up to 20 projects, with one project allowed per enterprise. It is open to Saudi micro, small and medium-sized enterprises working on viable concepts, prototypes or existing ventures seeking to expand.
Eligible projects can cover areas including architecture and design, culinary arts, fashion, film, heritage, museums, music, publishing, visual arts and performing arts. The program also targets AI applications in cultural production, preservation, engagement, operations, governance and intellectual property.
According to the CDF, applications will be assessed based on cultural impact, financial sustainability, technological innovation, implementation readiness, scalability and compliance with Saudi regulations and AI ethics principles.
Applications are open until the end of September. The initiative was launched during Saudi Arabia’s Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026.
