Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has approved a national strategy for entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises, marking a new policy step for the Kingdom’s startup and business ecosystem.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting in Jeddah chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Cabinet also approved the Ministry of Investment’s membership in the Anti-Money Laundering Committee.
In addition, the meeting covered Saudi Arabia’s participation as an invited country in the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, as well as the Kingdom’s position on energy diversification and the potential inclusion of nuclear power in its national energy mix.
The Cabinet also authorised discussions on investment cooperation with Ireland, approved a headquarters agreement with the Institute of Internal Auditors, and endorsed several cooperation agreements covering minerals and insurance with Kazakhstan and Kuwait.
