Saudi e-commerce platform Salla has acquired Paylink, a Saudi company specialising in electronic payments, as it moves to expand the financial and commerce tools available to merchants.

The company said the deal will help improve the payment experience for businesses and support flexible payment collection through both online and physical channels, locally and internationally.

Paylink provides electronic payment services to entrepreneurs, small businesses and government entities, with products designed for Saudi Arabia’s digital market.

According to the announcement, the acquisition will allow Salla to develop financial solutions shaped around the operational needs of its merchants, covering everyday sales as well as services that support business growth. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

The deal follows Salla’s acquisition last year of Sweeply, a platform focused on digital advertising solutions, as the company continues expanding the capabilities of its commerce platform.
