Saudi stc Named Platinum Gaming Operator in Q2 2026 GameMode Report

Saudi Arabia’s telecommunications company stc has been named the country’s “Platinum Gaming Operator” in the second-quarter 2026 report from the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST).

The GameMode initiative compares telecom providers’ performance across popular video games in Saudi Arabia. According to the commission, overall performance improved by up to 60% compared with the second quarter of 2025.

stc received the award after achieving the highest overall score across the report’s criteria, which include gaming experience, local game hosting, gaming packages, cloud platforms and support for the esports community.

The report showed a three-way tie between stc, Mobily and Salam for the top download speeds on Steam, at 100%. The same operators also led on PlayStation at 98%, while Mobily and Salam shared the lead on Xbox at 98%.

stc and Mobily jointly recorded the best latency across five games. stc led independently across eight titles, including VALORANT, League of Legends and DOTA2. Mobily topped two games, while Zain led two others.

Published quarterly, the report also provides guidance on improving home network performance and encourages users to assess their internet service with a fiber internet measurement device.
