Anthropic is investing $100M in the Claude Frontier Academy, a new program designed to train 10,000 engineers to move corporate AI projects from initial concepts to live deployments.

According to the announcement, the academy aims to graduate its “Frontier Deployed Engineers” by the end of 2027. Its first cohorts include engineers from companies such as Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

The program begins with an intensive, multi-day in-person course led by Anthropic engineers and experts. Training covers selecting suitable use cases, addressing security requirements and connecting AI projects to internal systems.

Participants then complete a 12-week practical phase inside their companies, where they lead a real project using Claude.

The initiative comes as companies seek engineers who can adapt AI tools to internal data and business processes. Anthropic said demand for these roles is growing, with Draup reporting more than 1,400 AI deployment engineering openings across five major consulting firms as of May, despite a 24% annual decline in overall sector job postings.
