The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Mastercard to attract more international visitors through data-led tourism planning and joint marketing campaigns.
Under the partnership, Mastercard will provide insights into visitor trends, spending patterns, travel flows and the impact of major events. The Mastercard Economics Institute will also support the STA with visitor segmentation, predictive analytics and consumer behaviour analysis.
According to the announcement, the data will help the authority develop more targeted campaigns, inform policymaking and measure the long-term impact of tourism growth across Saudi Arabia.
The collaboration will also use Mastercard’s Priceless platform to promote cultural and heritage experiences in the Kingdom. The two organisations will explore technology-driven loyalty and rewards programmes to improve visitor engagement.
The partnership is designed to support the STA’s efforts to promote Saudi destinations across priority markets in the GCC, the wider region and internationally, while contributing to the country’s broader tourism goals under Vision 2030.
