About The Event

Startup World Cup Algeria is the official regional qualifier for the globally renowned Startup World Cup. Organized by the Algerian Startup Ecosystem Community (ASEC) and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, the event is designed to put Algerian founders on the global map. The mission is to identify Algeria’s most innovative and scalable startup and give them the opportunity of a lifetime: to compete at the Grand Finale in San Francisco for the global title and a transformative $1 million investment prize.

Startup Competition

The journey to the Algiers stage was a competitive one. The process began with an open call for Algerian startups with a working product and measurable traction. From all applications, a committee shortlisted the 10 most promising finalists to compete in the live event. Each finalist will have four minutes to pitch their venture, followed by a two-minute Q&A with the jury, who will evaluate them on criteria including market size, traction, business model, and team strength.
