Talabat, the MENA region’s leading everyday delivery app, has launched a food aid initiative in Kuwait in collaboration with the non-profit organization LOYAC. The program is designed to support local families by providing them with essential food supplies, reinforcing the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts within the community.

Quick Facts

  • Initiative supported 300 families across Kuwait.
  • Collaboration with youth empowerment organization LOYAC.
  • All food essentials were supplied by talabat mart.

Leveraging Logistics for Community Impact

The joint initiative saw volunteers and staff from both Talabat and LOYAC come together to pack and distribute food baskets to families in need. The contents, which included a variety of essential food items and household staples, were fully supplied through talabat mart, the company’s quick commerce grocery service. This effort highlights how the delivery giant is using its established logistics and supply chain infrastructure for social good.

Amal Bukhamseen, Manager of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, framed the initiative as central to the company’s mission. “As a people-first company, we continue to place the wellbeing of our communities at the center of our CSR efforts and at the top of our priorities,” she commented. “Through this initiative and our collaboration with LOYAC, we aim to support families across Kuwait by improving access to essential food supplies.”

A Partnership-Driven Approach

The collaboration with LOYAC, an organization focused on youth and community development, was key to the program’s execution. By partnering with established local entities, Talabat aims to extend the reach and impact of its social programs.

Lulwa AlSharrah, a Specialist at the Community Empowerment Department at LOYAC, highlighted the value of the partnership. “We greatly value our growing partnership with talabat, whose continued commitment to community-focused initiatives reflects the power of collaboration in creating meaningful impact,” AlSharrah stated. “We are proud to contribute to an initiative that helps ensure essential food support reaches families in need across Kuwait.”
