The Shift Innovation Challenge has opened applications for 20 startups developing solutions across HealthTech and related innovation tracks in Egypt.
Implemented by Flat6Labs, the program is backed by e& egypt foundation and e& business, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Embassy of Norway. It will offer training, mentorship, investment-readiness support, pitch-deck guidance, workshops, coaching and ecosystem connections through a mix of virtual and in-person sessions.
The program will run through a selection bootcamp, a program cycle and a selection committee before culminating in a Showcase Day. The top three teams may be selected to receive funding from the program, according to the announcement.
Eligible startups must be legally registered, address a validated need and have an innovative, scalable business concept. Teams should include two to three actively participating members. At least one founder must be physically present in the program city during the sprint and demo preparation phases, and startups should be committed to building a long-term presence in Egypt.
The challenge focuses on HealthTech, mental health and psychosocial wellbeing for youth, women and girls, AI in health, reproductive, maternal and women’s health, AI sports and wellbeing, and SportsTech. Applications close on October 14, 2026.
