A New Playbook for Federal Communication

The Government Media Content Guideline provides a practical framework for communication teams, moving beyond broad principles to offer concrete tools and methodologies. It covers the entire content lifecycle, from strategic planning and message development to the production of written and visual assets and multi-channel distribution.

The goal is to ensure all government-produced content is clear, aligns with the UAE’s national communication identity, and is effectively tailored to its intended audiences. The launch was supplemented by a hands-on workshop where communication teams practiced building narratives and adapting content for different platforms, translating the new guidelines into immediate, practical skills.

“Agentic AI Will Define the Next Chapter”

Saeed Al Eter, Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, emphasized the government’s commitment to building a communication system that keeps pace with rapid global changes, grounded in data and new technologies. He specifically pointed to artificial intelligence as a critical component of this vision.

“Agentic AI will define the next chapter,” Al Eter stated. “It will allow us to produce real-time, high-quality content at scale, get ahead of misinformation before it spreads, navigate fast-moving crises with greater precision, and engage meaningfully with digital communities across the board. Government communication will become more proactive, more responsive, and ultimately more effective.”

Crisis Communication as a Frontline Tool

The event also featured a dedicated session from the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) on its model for crisis media management. The presentation argued that government communication is not merely a support function during emergencies but a frontline tool.

NCEMA’s approach positions effective communication as essential for building public trust, countering the spread of inaccurate information, and enabling institutions to respond with coherence and confidence when it matters most.
