The UAE has launched the strategic track of its federal Agentic AI project, with more than 100 government officials attending a workshop in Dubai organised by the National Committee for the Agentic AI Project.
The track will focus on using AI in policy formulation, strategic foresight and executive decision-making across seven pillars of the UAE Government 4.0 framework. These include strategy, strategic intelligence, policies, governance, government performance, global competitiveness and innovation.
According to the announcement, the UAE aims to convert 50% of federal government operations, services and tasks into agentic AI-driven models within two years. The programme will follow the principle that “human leads, AI enables,” while setting priorities for timelines, task classification and cross-government integration.
Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, said the workshop marked the start of deploying AI models to support future-ready governance.
The strategic track follows earlier project milestones, including four operational AI agents launched in May for procurement, tax auditing, customer happiness and technical support, as well as 90-day sprints announced in June for 50 federal entities to develop AI agents.
