In a significant move to bolster social inclusion and service innovation, the UAE’s Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has launched the Labaih Initiative. The new program is designed to make tax services more accessible for senior citizens, streamlining their interactions with the authority and ensuring ease, efficiency, and privacy.

Personalized Support and Priority Access

Under the Labaih Initiative, senior citizens will receive tailored support through dedicated channels at the FTA’s Call Centre and Taxpayer Support Centres. The program introduces personalized assistance with simplified procedures and priority access.
Key features include a Direct Line helpline for immediate assistance, a Fast-Track counter at service centers, and priority access to tax advisors. These services are specifically designed to enhance the experience for elderly users and reduce the effort required throughout their service journey.

A Commitment to Well-being

Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision to promote the well-being and quality of life for all citizens.

“The FTA has launched the Labaih Initiative as part of its efforts to enhance the efficiency of service delivery and to provide senior citizens with appropriate facilitation and a tailored approach, in line with the directives of the wise leadership to ensure the highest levels of care, support, and quality of life for them,” Al Bustani stated.

He added, “Through the Labaih Initiative, we aim to offer innovative Tax process solutions that enable senior citizens to access all FTA services through mechanisms that ensure clarity, speed, and with full respect of their privacy.”

Bridging Digital Access with Human-Centered Care

The initiative reinforces the FTA’s corporate social responsibility by empowering senior citizens to manage their tax affairs with greater independence and confidence. It also provides electronic access to documents through the FTA’s website, allowing users to complete procedures remotely.

To further support this demographic, the Authority will roll out targeted awareness programs, workshops, and educational sessions. These will help senior citizens navigate tax legislation and compliance requirements effectively, combining digital accessibility with personalized care.
