The University of Dubai recently hosted the fourth edition of its Entrepreneurship Projects Competition 2026, bringing together 72 entrepreneurs across 24 teams composed of students, graduates, and researchers. The event served as a platform for early-stage ventures in high-growth sectors.

Fostering Innovation for UAE’s D33 Agenda
Organized by the university’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the competition featured a wide range of projects aligned with the UAE Centennial 2071 and Dubai’s Economic Agenda “D33”. The ideas presented spanned advanced technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, food security, education, and cybersecurity.
Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, stated that the competition is a key platform for promoting innovation, supporting entrepreneurship, and encouraging young people to turn their ideas into tangible projects that contribute to sustainable development.
Dr. Hussain Al-Ahmad, Vice President for Academic Affairs, added that entrepreneurs and innovators capable of redefining industries will be instrumental in shaping the UAE’s future over the coming decades.
Top University Talents Awarded
The competition recognized winners across three main tracks and two special categories, highlighting the diversity of talent from various UAE-based academic institutions.
In the student track, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai secured first place, followed by the University of Birmingham Dubai and the Higher Colleges of Technology. “Unitors” from Amity University won the top prize in the graduates track.
The University of Dubai’s own “Bright Path” project won the researchers track. Special recognition was given to “Remi AI” for the Most Innovative Idea and “Nourish AI” for the Best Presentation.
