The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced the launch of the “Emirati Real Estate Companies Incubator” program, a new initiative designed to empower national talent. The program is a collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai, and falls under the national “The Emirates, the World’s Entrepreneurial Capital” campaign, which aims to solidify the UAE’s position as a global entrepreneurship hub.
Fostering a New Generation of Real Estate Leaders
The program’s first cycle, hosted at Dubai Silicon Oasis, will begin on October 27, 2025, and run for six months. It aims to incubate 50 Emirati-led real estate companies, helping participants transition from being independent brokers to establishing and managing their own full-time brokerage firms according to global best practices. The initial cohort will consist of 25 selected Emirati real estate brokers.
“Through the new incubator, we aim to build a generation of Emirati real estate brokers capable of establishing leading brokerage firms that contribute to the market’s sustainability and enhance the country’s position as a global real estate investment hub,” said Omar Hamad Bushehab, Director General of DLD. He noted a recent surge in Emirati brokers, with 1,800 new professionals joining the field since 2024 and collectively closing transactions worth up to AED 10 billion.
A Comprehensive Ecosystem for Success
The incubator will provide participants with a stimulating educational environment that combines an integrated business ecosystem with technology, real estate, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum focuses on deep market understanding, legal frameworks for company formation, specialized business planning, and financial management. A significant emphasis is placed on leveraging modern technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and smart contracts in the real estate sector.
“Our collaboration with DLD and our academic partners will provide participants with a stimulating learning environment, allowing them to benefit from an integrated business ecosystem,” stated Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis. “This ecosystem will enhance the success opportunities for new companies and support their contribution to the national economy’s growth.”
Building on a Strong Foundation
The initiative builds upon the significant growth already witnessed in the sector. According to officials, the number of Emirati brokers has increased by 180% recently, demonstrating a growing interest and presence of local talent in the market. The incubator program is designed to capitalize on this momentum, providing a strategic pathway for distinguished professionals to become competitive entrepreneurs on a local and global scale. Upon completion, participants will receive an accredited certificate and a full year of professional follow-up and individual mentoring with specialized consultants.
