Saudi tech firm T2 has unveiled two new, locally-developed identity verification technologies aimed at the business sector. The company, specializing in business development solutions, showcased the new biometric tools—handprint verification and keystroke pattern analysis—during its participation at GITEX 2025.
Next-Generation Handprint Verification
The first technology focuses on user authentication through handprint recognition. Users can simply use their mobile phone or laptop camera to capture an image of their palm, which verifies their identity without needing traditional fingerprint or facial recognition.
T2 highlights that this method bypasses common issues like fingerprint scanners failing due to dry skin or dust. It also remains effective in low-light conditions or when the user’s face is partially covered, which can challenge facial recognition systems. The system has been validated with over 50,000 digital and real handprints, achieving an accuracy rate exceeding 95%, and has been the subject of a study published on Google Scholar.
Keystroke Dynamics as a Digital Fingerprint
The second innovation is a keyboard-based verification system that authenticates users based on their unique typing patterns. The technology records and learns an individual’s specific rhythm, speed, and method of data entry to confirm their identity.
This behavioral biometric solution is positioned as a powerful alternative to one-time-passwords (OTOs) and could potentially replace traditional passwords entirely. Because the pattern is unique to each person, it is difficult to breach while offering a faster login experience. The system is designed to adapt to user behavior changes, such as variations in typing speed, ensuring smooth verification unlike systems reliant on a single, static pattern.
B2B Integration via API
T2 is making both technologies available for businesses and institutions to integrate directly into their own applications and websites via an Application Programming Interface (API). This allows companies, such as banks, to embed these solutions to provide highly secure and efficient verification for both customers and employees.
