Qatar To Host Inaugural MENA Edition of WSJ Tech Live

In a significant move to bolster its position as a leading technology and innovation hub, Qatar has announced it will host the first-ever Middle East and North Africa edition of the prestigious Wall Street Journal Tech Live conference. The Government Communications Office (GCO) confirmed that the exclusive, invitation-only event will take place from December 2-4 at the Waldorf Astoria Lusail Doha, gathering global leaders from the technology, finance, and media sectors.

A Strategic Move for Qatar National Vision 2030

Hosting the international conference is a key part of Qatar’s strategic efforts to attract global partnerships, secure strategic investments, and advance its digital economy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. The event aims to connect local talent with influential international companies and spotlight emerging digital trends.

HE Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani, Director of the GCO, affirmed the event’s importance. “Hosting WSJ Tech Live for the first time in the MENA region reflects Qatar’s growing reputation as an attractive destination for international events and conferences in the fields of technology and innovation,” he stated. “It underscores the country’s continuous efforts to build an advanced digital ecosystem that supports a knowledge-based economy and reflects Qatar’s commitment to strengthening its position in the global digital landscape.”

An Exclusive Gathering of Global Leaders

The three-day summit will be an exclusive gathering of more than 200 Fortune 500 CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, and trailblazers. This invitation-only format is designed to foster high-level discussions and provide attendees with direct engagement opportunities with some of the most influential leaders and experts shaping the future of technology.

The agenda will feature specialized panel discussions covering critical topics such as the future of sports and media in the digital era, data privacy, talent development, the latest in fintech and digital currencies, and the applications of AI in space and defence technologies.
