This second phase is launched in collaboration with Startup Egypt, a non-governmental organization focused on supporting the country’s entrepreneurial landscape. The partnership will engage both large corporations and startups across a wide range of high-growth sectors, including fintech, healthtech, education, and supply chains.
The initiative reaffirms Startup Gate’s commitment to enabling Egyptian startups to grow confidently while creating new opportunities on both local and regional stages.
Cultivating a Robust Support System
Selected startups will gain access to a comprehensive support structure that includes mentorship, business development assistance, growth support, and crucial access to funding. The EGP 450 million in expected investments will be channeled through M-Empire’s established angel investor network.
To enhance its support system, Startup Gate is actively expanding its network of mentors, bringing in specialized experts from Egypt and abroad. The platform also intends to join an international network to adopt the acclaimed mentorship methodology developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Building on Previous Success
The latest announcement builds on the momentum of the initiative’s first phase, which was launched in October and successfully engaged 750 startups, mentors, and investors. With the new programs, Startup Gate expects the total number of participants to reach 3,000 by the end of the year.
