In a strategic move to cement its position as a global gaming hub, the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has announced the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with local clubs ROC Esports and Team Stallions. These partnerships aim to accelerate the growth of the Kingdom’s esports ecosystem and create robust pathways for national talent.
The collaborations are a core component of SEF’s mission to build a comprehensive framework that supports and nurtures local gaming professionals, from grassroots enthusiasts to elite athletes.
A Strategic Push for Talent Development
The MoUs focus specifically on empowering Saudi professionals within the esports sector. A key area of collaboration will be the development of specialized training programs and joint initiatives delivered through the Saudi Esports Academy.
These efforts are designed to enhance the skills of both employees and competitive athletes, preparing a new generation of qualified national talent for professional careers in the industry. The agreements will also explore dedicated career pathways for graduates of the academy, ensuring a sustainable talent pipeline.
Aligning with National Strategy
These partnerships directly support the ambitious goals outlined in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Gaming and Esports Strategy. By fostering local talent and strengthening the sector’s foundational infrastructure, the SEF is actively working to establish a self-sustaining ecosystem that can compete on the world stage.
Rawan Al Butairi, CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation, commented on the new agreements.
