Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has successfully concluded the 7th edition of Jeel Tamooh, its flagship leadership development program designed to nurture and empower high-potential university students across Saudi Arabia. This year’s cohort, one of the most immersive to date, brought together more than 150 top-performing students to equip them with the skills needed to contribute to the Kingdom’s economic transformation.

A Hybrid Approach to Talent Development

The six-month program utilized an innovative blended model, combining virtual learning modules with hands-on workshops and in-person engagements in Dammam, Jeddah, and Riyadh. This structure allowed for broader geographic reach across the Kingdom while ensuring participants received practical, real-world consulting exposure and opportunities for collaboration.

Fostering Real-World Impact

Under the theme of transforming skills into tangible impact, the program opened with a launch event featuring BCG alumni, industry experts, and regional leadership. The agenda immersed students in critical sectors aligned with Vision 2030, with expert-led sessions on navigating the Saudi labor market, building smart cities, and driving innovation in food security and finance.

Philippe Cornette de Saint Cyr, Managing Director & Senior Partner at BCG, emphasized the program’s strategic importance, stating, “Saudi Arabia’s young talent represents one of the Kingdom’s greatest competitive advantages. Through Jeel Tamooh, we are not only equipping students with world-class skills, but also empowering them to take ownership of their future and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s transformation.”

The launch event also featured inspiring talks from prominent figures in the ecosystem, including Fahad AlBassam, Co-Founder of Soum, and Mohammed AlKhalid, Founder of the NetZero Initiative.

Mentorship as a Cornerstone

A defining feature of Jeel Tamooh is its one-on-one mentorship model, which pairs each student with a BCG consultant for personalized guidance throughout the program. This direct mentorship provides invaluable industry insight and career support.

Fatima Bazroun, a student participant, commented on the program’s value, “The program’s structured approach to consulting methodology, combined with targeted mentorship from BCG professionals, provided me with essential analytical and problem-solving capabilities that are directly applicable across sectors. I now feel well-positioned to pursue competitive opportunities with enhanced confidence.”

Saud AlWatban, a Senior Associate and Jeel Tamooh mentor, added, “Supporting this cohort has been incredibly inspiring. Their curiosity, ambition, and determination reflect the strength of the future Saudi workforce. Jeel Tamooh gives students the guidance and access they need to turn potential into real impact.”

Building a Consulting Toolkit

Participants engaged in “Consulting Taster Workshops” designed to introduce them to BCG’s structured problem-solving methodology. Through interactive, team-based exercises, students honed their analytical reasoning, communication, and case-thinking skills, preparing them for interview processes for internships and full-time roles at BCG and other leading firms. The program culminated in nationwide networking events, offering participants direct access to partners, consultants, and recruiters to support their next career steps.
