The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has successfully concluded the international incubation phase for the seventh cohort of its Tech Founders program. This strategic initiative sent 20 high-potential Saudi startups to London for a rigorous six-week immersion into one of the world’s leading innovation hubs. Supported by the Center for Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE), the program is designed to bridge the gap between local innovation and global markets, providing founders with the tools necessary to scale their operations internationally in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

Strengthening Global Tech Bridges

The residency in London served as a critical touchpoint for Saudi entrepreneurs to engage with the global investment community. During the six-week period, the cohort participated in over 100 specialized mentorship and business consultancy sessions aimed at refining growth strategies and enhancing investment readiness. The curriculum focused heavily on practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, strategic scaling, and navigating the complexities of international business environments.

Beyond the classroom, the program facilitated more than 45 interactive sessions and workshops featuring international experts from London’s innovation and investment landscape. These engagements were complemented by over 12 field visits to major technology companies and startups, allowing Saudi founders to witness best practices in action and explore potential cross-border partnerships.

Driving Innovation Across Sectors

The 20 startups selected for the seventh cohort represent a diverse cross-section of the Saudi tech scene, spanning industries such as construction tech, fintech, edtech, and agritech. Notable participants included AISC, a firm specializing in AI-driven site inspection solutions, alongside others such as Wadaie, Ygii, Vast Group, and Single View.

The program’s structure emphasized “learning by doing,” challenging founders to adapt their business models to the competitive UK market. By fostering these global connections, MCIT aims to transform local startups into multinational entities that can contribute significantly to the Kingdom’s digital economy.
