Flow Accelerator and the Rami Zahi Khoury Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub (RZK Hub) at Dar Al Kalima University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a joint framework for student innovation in Palestine. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and the startup ecosystem, providing students with the practical skills and networks necessary to launch and scale new ventures.
Bridging Academia And The Startup Ecosystem
The collaboration focuses on creating hands-on learning pathways through a variety of structured activities, including ideation workshops, innovation bootcamps, and pitching opportunities. By integrating these initiatives into the university environment, the partnership seeks to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and leadership among Palestinian youth, preparing them to contribute actively to the local economy.
Implementation of the agreement has already begun via the Student Ambassadors Programme, a core component of the Orange Corners Palestine initiative. This program identifies and develops student leaders to act as vital connectors between their academic institutions and the broader entrepreneurial landscape. Recent pilot sessions hosted at Dar Al Kalima University, themed “Dare to Dream” and “Dare to Innovate,” have already engaged over 100 students from both Dar Al Kalima and Palestine Ahliya University.
Creating Sustained Pathways For Young Innovators
Beyond initial awareness sessions, the partnership is designed to offer a continuous pipeline for talent development. The planned curriculum includes “innovation camps” where students can move from basic ideation to building functional business models. These sessions are supported by direct interaction with ecosystem actors, ensuring that student projects are aligned with market needs and investment standards.
Representatives from Flow Accelerator and Dar Al Kalima University emphasized that this MoU is a long-term commitment to human capital in Palestine. By equipping students with a “startup mindset” before they graduate, the initiative aims to create a new generation of founders who are ready to navigate the complexities of the regional tech scene and drive impact through innovation-driven enterprises.
