Abu Dhabi-based AI and big data analytics company Presight has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of the Interior of Montenegro to support the European nation’s digital transformation. The deal will see the G42-owned company develop a next-generation “Smart Nation” platform to upgrade the country’s national infrastructure.
Quick Facts
- MOU signed to build national AI-driven platform.
- Focus on public safety, mobility, and emergency response.
- Montenegrin Prime Minister visited Presight’s Abu Dhabi HQ.
A Strategic Push into Europe
The agreement was highlighted during an official state visit by His Excellency Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro, to Presight’s Abu Dhabi headquarters. The visit signals a strong commitment from both sides to use applied intelligence on a national scale to improve public services and foster sustainable economic growth.
Danilo Šaranović, Minister of the Interior of Montenegro, commented on the partnership, stating, “Montenegro is committed to advancing a modern, resilient, and secure national infrastructure, and this collaboration with Presight represents an important step in that journey. As a trusted partner with a proven track record in deploying applied intelligence at national scale, Presight brings the expertise and capability required for an initiative of this ambition.”
Building a Unified Operational Layer
The MOU establishes a long-term framework for Presight to design and deploy an integrated, AI-powered platform across Montenegro’s cities and infrastructure. The system aims to unify real-time data from traffic management, public safety, environmental monitoring, and emergency response into a single operational layer. This integration is designed to enable faster coordination and more proactive, AI-assisted decision-making across government bodies.
“National transformation requires more than technology, it requires intelligent systems that operate at scale,” said Thomas Pramotedham, Chief Executive Officer of Presight. “Through this partnership with Montenegro, we are designing a unified operational infrastructure where data, AI, and decision making are fully integrated across critical systems. This is applied intelligence in action, enabling governments to move from fragmented systems to coordinated, proactive operations.”
Sovereign AI for National Scale
The initiative will be rolled out across three phases, beginning with a national feasibility study. This will be followed by a structured data exchange to map existing systems and data sources, culminating in a detailed implementation roadmap. Key components include intelligent traffic management to ease congestion, advanced intelligence capabilities to improve situational awareness, and integrated emergency response systems.
Built on Presight’s sovereign AI infrastructure, the platform is intended to transform scattered data into coordinated, real-time operational intelligence. The collaboration underscores Presight’s growing role in exporting AI-enabled infrastructure to high-growth markets globally.
