PropTech Connect Sets Up Permanent Dubai Hub in DIFC to Accelerate MENA’s Real Estate Tech Sector

4 Min Read

Riding the momentum of Dubai’s rapidly expanding real estate technology sector, PropTech Connect Middle East has established a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The move, supported by the Dubai Land Department (DLD), signals a deeper commitment to the region following the success of its inaugural conference and solidifies the city’s standing as a hub for property innovation.

Quick Facts

  • New regional office now open in DIFC.
  • Follows event with over 3,000 participants.
  • 2027 edition targets 4,000+ attendees.

From Event Success to Permanent Presence

The decision to open a permanent office follows the inaugural PropTech Connect Middle East 2026 conference held in Dubai last February. The event brought together more than 3,000 participants and over 300 speakers, creating a major platform for collaboration between technology firms, developers, and investors in the real estate sector.

This expansion builds on the success of related ecosystem events, including the recent PropTech Elevate x REES session. Organized by the Dubai PropTech Hub in collaboration with DLD, the session gathered government entities and industry leaders to discuss sector trends and innovative solutions driving Dubai’s real estate agenda.

Dubai’s Push for an Integrated Proptech Ecosystem

The establishment of the new office reflects a broader strategy led by the Dubai Land Department to build an integrated proptech ecosystem. The goal is to foster collaboration between regulators, developers, and tech companies, creating an attractive environment for both global firms and emerging startups.

Mohammed Ali Al Badwawi, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department, commented on the development. “Dubai continues to strengthen its global position in proptech by building an integrated ecosystem that brings together innovation, flexible regulatory frameworks, and effective partnerships,” he stated. “The success achieved by the inaugural edition of PropTech Connect Middle East marked the beginning of a new phase of international collaboration in real estate innovation.”

Adding to this, Mohammad AlBlooshi, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Innovation Hub, said, “As a leading platform for the PropTech sector, PropTech Connect’s presence in DIFC will further strengthen industry dialogue and collaboration by bringing together investors, innovators and real estate leaders from Dubai, the UAE and across the region.”

Building on Regional Momentum

For PropTech Connect, the move is a strategic step to expand its footprint in a high-growth market. The new DIFC office, which has obtained a commercial license, will serve as a base to support the growth of proptech companies across the region.

“The opening of our office in Dubai reflects the level of confidence we place in the emirate’s dynamic environment, which combines a clear vision for development, a supportive regulatory framework, and an integrated ecosystem that enables innovation,” said Matthew Maltzoff, CEO & Co-Founder of PropTech Connect. “We see Dubai as an ideal platform to expand our presence in the region and to work with our partners.”

With a permanent base now established, plans for the 2027 edition of the conference are already underway. Organizers anticipate even greater participation, targeting more than 4,000 attendees and 2,000 proptech companies. This growth aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, both of which prioritize digital transformation in the sector.
