Orange Corners Innovation Fund Deploys €150,000 To Accelerate Startup Growth in Jordan

The Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF) Jordan Track II has released its 2025 Impact Report, detailing the deployment of €150,000 across seven high-potential startups. An initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by finnpact, the program provides a combination of financial instruments and technical assistance to help Jordanian entrepreneurs scale sustainably. In its first year, the portfolio achieved significant regional reach, serving over 23,000 customers across the MENA region and creating 44 new jobs.

Measurable Growth and Economic Impact

The Track II portfolio demonstrated robust financial performance in 2025, recording a combined revenue of 284,000 JOD. Participating startups saw an average revenue growth of 89%. The program’s unique approach pairs seed capital with essential business development services, including legal and financial guidance, which founders rated highly with an average support score of 9.6/10. To ensure inclusive access, the fund utilized a mix of five conventional and two Islamic financing instruments.

Diverse Sector Support and SDG Alignment

The seven funded startups operate across six critical sectors: EdTech, FinTech, AgriTech, AI/CRM, AI/Cybersecurity, and Sustainable Beauty. The portfolio is directly aligned with seven of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8).

Portfolio Highlights:

  • EduHax (EdTech): Founded by Yazan Tadros, this platform uses AI-powered gamification to teach mathematics to children aged 4-13 in Arabic. It reported a 186% revenue increase and 700% customer growth.
  • PhytoBase (AgriTech): Founded by Saqer Marayha, it utilizes IoT and AI to optimize irrigation, achieving up to 60% water savings and a 30% increase in crop yields.
  • Avancer (AI/Cybersecurity): Led by Mohammad Majed, this deepfake detection platform protects digital integrity for media houses and government agencies.
  • OrganicG (AgriTech): Co-founded by Randa Ellayan, the startup converts organic waste into bio-fertilisers, promoting a circular economy.
  • Bab Plus (AI/CRM): Founded by Hamzah Hammad, it provides an all-in-one engagement platform for SMEs, currently targeting expansion into Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
  • iCASH (FinTech): Founded by Mohammad Yaseen, it addresses financial exclusion in rural Jordan by turning local merchants into financial service points.
  • Denally (Sustainable Beauty): Founded by Yusra Hamed, it is the first skincare brand in the Arab world to utilize plantable seed-paper packaging.
