Ma’an Launches UAE’s First Certificate for Social Enterprises

1 Min Read

Ma’an has opened applications for its Certificate of Social Enterprises, a recognition scheme for organizations working to address social challenges in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.

Described by Ma’an as the UAE’s first program of its kind, the certificate is designed to help mission-driven organizations demonstrate their social impact and distinguish themselves from conventional businesses. The authority said the recognition can also strengthen confidence among investors and government partners.

Certified social enterprises and not-for-profit organizations may gain access to tailored incentives, including funding, resources and other support intended to help them grow their social missions. Certificate holders can also join Ma’an’s network of social investors and innovators to share knowledge, collaborate and build new partnerships.

Organizations must register and log in to apply. The application is free of charge, and applicants are required to provide supporting documents, including a social enterprise or social goal undertaking letter and acceptance of the terms and conditions.
