Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Monsha’at, said more than SAR 255 million in government fees has been refunded to eligible small and medium-sized businesses through its Estرداد initiative.
The program has so far benefited more than 8,800 SMEs, while around 38,000 businesses have initially met its eligibility requirements, according to the announcement.
Estرداد targets businesses that began operating between 2024 and 2026 and covers 10 major government fees and costs. Eligible businesses can reclaim fees including commercial registration, economic activity licenses, chamber of commerce subscriptions, Saudi Post subscriptions and patent registration. The initiative also covers up to 80% of the financial consideration for foreign workers.
The program is designed to reduce the financial burden on businesses during their early years, while supporting operating liquidity and financial stability, the authority said.
Registration will remain open until the end of 2026, while payments to eligible businesses will continue through 2028 under the initiative’s approved schedule and rules.
