Jordan-based education technology company Abwaab has acquired Egyptian edtech startup Eduact for an undisclosed amount, expanding beyond student-focused learning products to offer digital infrastructure for teachers and learning centres.
Founded in Egypt in 2020 by Adham Hamed and Ali Hisham, Eduact provides a SaaS platform for managing content, grading, payments and other workflows across online and offline education. Its users include independent teachers and small learning centres.
Abwaab plans to integrate Eduact’s technology into its wider platform and use its regional reach to bring the product to more teachers and learning centres in Egypt and other markets, according to the announcement.
Founded in Jordan in 2019 by Hamdi Tabbaa, Sabri Hakim and Hussein AlSarabi, Abwaab provides curriculum-aligned digital learning and assessment products. The company currently operates across six MENA markets.
The deal is Abwaab’s second acquisition in 2026. Earlier this year, it acquired Egyptian university admissions startup Apex Education, expanding into higher education preparation and admissions advisory.
