Saudi Arabia-based real estate platform AQAR has signed a memorandum of understanding with Syrian classifieds company Doushesh for a strategic investment of up to $480,000.
The proposed investment will be made through a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE), with the funding released in tranches tied to agreed growth milestones, according to the announcement.
Founded in 2025 by Alaaeddin Zarzour and Zafer Odabashi, Doushesh operates a classifieds marketplace in Syria covering real estate, vehicles, electronics, furniture, jobs and services. The company closed a pre-seed round earlier this year.
The investment is intended to support Doushesh’s platform expansion and the development of digital infrastructure for Syria’s real estate and classified advertising sectors.
