Marnah has invested about SAR 23.9M in Loop as part of a capital increase that raised the Saudi payments fintech’s capital from SAR 19.5M to SAR 49.375M. The increase was completed and the revised capital registered on August 17, 2026, while Marnah’s ownership remained unchanged at 80%.

According to Marnah’s disclosure, the new funding will strengthen Loop’s financial position and support its operational needs and future plans. The investment follows Marnah’s acquisition of an 80% stake in Loop in June 2022, as the financing company sought to expand into digital payments and financial services.

Loop has since worked on payment and card-related solutions, technology partnerships and services for other businesses. However, the subsidiary’s losses have continued to affect Marnah’s financial results. Marnah reported that its net profit attributable to shareholders fell 96.9% to about SAR 1.01M in 2025, from SAR 32.7M a year earlier, despite a 12.96% increase in revenue to SAR 218.48M.

Loop also received a five-year renewal of its Saudi Central Bank licence to operate as a large electronic wallet, valid until December 1, 2030. The company has additionally completed the formation of a new board after receiving the regulator’s non-objection.
