Ambassadors from Egypt’s Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), affiliated with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), took part in Vibe Coding Arena 2026 at the Arab Open University, where 15 student teams developed technology projects using artificial intelligence.

Organized by the university’s AWS Student Builder Group, the event featured a hackathon focused on turning student ideas into practical, executable solutions within a set timeframe. Participants used modern AI-supported development tools to identify problems, design solutions and build early technology products.

TIEC ambassadors evaluated the projects from a commercial perspective and provided guidance and practical feedback to help teams improve their ideas and business models, according to the announcement.

The event also recognized winning teams with several awards, including mentorship sessions and a Google award for teams that made notable use of the Gemini API. Winners also received access to practical training through the Infosk learning platform, aimed at strengthening their technical skills and industry experience.

The participation forms part of TIEC’s efforts to expand its ambassadors’ role in local technology initiatives, support young innovators and entrepreneurs, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship within student communities.
