Tutorak, a Beirut-based academic platform, is connecting students at the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the American University of Beirut (AUB) with peer tutors, academic advisors and mentors.
Founded in 2026 by Chris J. Armache with partners Marc Youssef and Abdul Nasser Halabi, Tutorak offers private and group tutoring, exam preparation, semester-long academic support and peer guidance on courses, majors and academic decisions.
The platform currently covers more than 30 LAU courses across multiple majors, with AUB courses expected to be added soon. According to the company, it has recruited more than 20 tutors and advisors, including high-performing students, recent graduates and early-career professionals.
Tutorak said its Instagram profile has received more than 100,000 views since launch. Its operational Consulting Hub supports case preparation, graduate school and career guidance, while its Future Leaders Program focuses on leadership and professional development.
The startup’s model is built around students helping others through courses they have recently completed. Tutorak also gives tutors paid work, teaching experience and a way to build a professional track record, according to the company.
