Khalifa University of Science and Technology has developed InstrucTwin, a UAE-made agentic AI platform designed to support learning, educators and education system management.

Commercialised through Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC), the platform brings together specialised AI agents for personalised learning, lesson and assessment development, grading, feedback, learning-gap identification, institutional analytics and professional development.

Unlike standalone generative AI tools, InstrucTwin operates within curriculum requirements, institutional rules, user permissions and human oversight. Its governance features include reporting, flagging and escalation mechanisms, while educators retain control over learning decisions and interventions.

Through a collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), Khalifa University has used the platform to support AI literacy curriculum resources, implementation materials and educator training. According to the announcement, more than 21,400 educators have received professional development through InstrucTwin, including more than 170 designated AI Leads.

For students, the platform offers curriculum-grounded tutoring and adaptive support based on individual progress and learning gaps. At the institutional level, it connects teaching, learning, assessment and performance data to help leaders identify gaps and monitor interventions.

Khalifa University said InstrucTwin is designed for schools, universities, training providers, education operators and regulators, with a modular architecture that can be deployed according to institutional needs.
