Jordanian entrepreneur and innovation competition “Linabtaker” has concluded its seventh edition, with 53 student projects advancing to the final stage and five teams named the top winners.
The competition was organised by Entro Gate in cooperation with Makerspace, a programme of the Crown Prince Foundation, alongside education, tourism, digital economy and technology organisations in Jordan and Palestine, as well as private-sector partners. Students from several Arab countries took part.
The final event was held in Amman after teams presented their projects to a regional judging panel. The competition focuses on equipping school students with entrepreneurship and innovation skills while helping them develop solutions to real-world challenges across eight sectors.
Dyslexia Go from Al-Rawad International Academy Schools won first place overall. The Educational Bag project from Gaza’s Kafr Qasim Secondary School ranked second, followed by Packpal from Amman Baccalaureate School, Glovely from Al-Hashimiya Girls School and KITT from Manarat Riyadh International Boys’ Section.
Sector winners included Farmaway in environment and sustainability, Tharwati in culture and financial solutions, SWITCH in transport and smart cities, and Saferace in technology and artificial intelligence. Additional awards recognised the best prototype, presentation, innovation, social entrepreneurship and teamwork.
The company said students from Gaza participated remotely in training, project development and judging despite the challenging circumstances.
