Sudan-connected founders, angel investors and ecosystem operators met in Riyadh for “Home & Here,” a networking event hosted under the Sudan Business Angels Network umbrella.
Held at Falak Investments Hub, the gathering was co-hosted by Ahmed Elmurtada and Khalid Elkhidir. It brought together members of the Sudanese entrepreneurial community building across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
Discussions focused on access to capital, responsible investment and entrepreneurship’s potential impact in Sudan. Participants also explored the role of the Sudanese diaspora as a connected economic network and shared what founders are building from Saudi Arabia.
The event included conversations around potential funding rounds and new introductions, with several discussions expected to continue beyond the gathering. Panelists included Khalid Elkhidir of Falak Ventures, Abdel Ali, CEO of Kiwi Charge, and Sharif Elshangiti, a fintech expert and founding partner of Tirhal.
According to 249Startups, the community will also share findings from its Angels for Change Survey in the coming weeks, focusing on angel investment, entrepreneurship and ecosystem development in Sudan.
