The second day of Egypt’s Entlaq conference features five discussion panels bringing together startup founders, venture capital investors, fund managers, economists and business leaders to examine entrepreneurship, investment and high-potential sectors.

The opening panel, focused on startup founders and operators, includes representatives from Nawy, Lucid, formerly Instabug, Thndr, Karm Solar, Paymob and Swvl Spaces. MoneyFellows is moderating the session.

Other sessions will explore the role of investment institutions in supporting startups, Egypt’s emerging fund managers and the funding landscape for the food and beverage sector, one of the country’s largest industries but a relatively underfunded area for venture capital.

Participants include Ayman Soliman of Morpho Investments, Mohamed Morsi of Finance in Motion, Noha El Ghazaly of Mediterrania Capital Partners, Mohamed Alaa El Din of DPI Venture Capital, Ziad Bazan of 4DX Ventures and Ali Mokhtar of Beltone Venture Capital.

The program will conclude with a discussion on Egypt’s economic and investment outlook, hosted by Mahmoud Mohieldin, the UN Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, and moderated by Yomna Mohieldin of Morgan Stanley.
