The second edition of Syria’s International Exhibition for Reconstruction, Emaar 2026, has opened at the Damascus Fairgrounds, bringing together 356 companies from 27 countries.
Organized by Effect Plus, the four-day event runs from September 13 to 16 and focuses on energy, industry, construction and real estate development. The participating companies represent more than 1,700 local, Arab and international commercial agencies, a 145% increase from the previous edition, according to the announcement.
The program includes business-to-business meetings, specialized seminars and panel discussions involving investors, government representatives, economic experts and policymakers. The sessions are intended to explore investment opportunities and develop them into partnerships, projects and agreements.
Participants include the Saudi Export Development Authority, Türkiye’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Turkish Housing Administration, MÜSİAD and the Jordan Export House.
Syrian officials said the country’s reconstruction priorities include infrastructure, energy, housing and real estate development. Ahmad Rawad Ramadan, director of the Syrian Investment Authority, said reconstruction would require a more transparent and organized market that protects rights and improves investor confidence.
The exhibition is open to visitors and specialists throughout its run at the Damascus Fairgrounds.
