Qatar ranked first globally for school-based entrepreneurship education in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor’s 2025/2026 data, highlighting the country’s efforts to develop initiative, creativity and opportunity recognition among students.

The report placed Qatar at the top of the participating economies for the “Entrepreneurial Education at School” indicator. Qatar also ranked sixth among 53 economies in the National Entrepreneurship Context Index, recording 6 points compared with 5.6 in 2024.

The indicator measures how effectively schools introduce students to entrepreneurship, encourage exploration and opportunity discovery, and build creativity and independence. It is not limited to teaching students how to start companies, but focuses on developing entrepreneurial thinking and skills.

School entrepreneurship education was the lowest-rated element in 33 of the 53 economies surveyed by GEM’s national experts in 2025. Only a limited number of economies reached an adequate level in this area, with Qatar leading the group.
