Blossom Capital has invested in Xybern, a UK-based enterprise AI and cybersecurity startup, adding the company to its inaugural portfolio. Xybern is also relocating to Saudi Arabia with Blossom’s support, according to an announcement from Blossom Accelerator.
Xybern is developing an authorization layer for AI agents that determines whether an action can proceed before it reaches an organization’s systems. The technology evaluates requests such as making payments, accessing production data, executing contracts or delegating tasks against cryptographic identities and company policies.
The startup is targeting highly regulated sectors, including financial services, healthcare, legal services, insurance, defence and cybersecurity.
Xybern says its platform sits between AI agents and enterprise systems, issuing an authorize-or-deny decision for each action. It also records decisions in a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit trail through its Provenance Vault.
The company describes its focus as AI runtime enforcement, enterprise AI governance and compliance, rather than post-action monitoring. Xybern was founded in 2025 and lists a team size of two to 10 employees.
