The second edition of Syria’s international reconstruction exhibition, Emaar 2026, closed with more than $1.756B in signed contracts, according to organiser Effect Plus.
Held over four days, the event generated 3,200 direct contracts and 412 memorandums of understanding involving local, Arab and international companies. The contracts covered construction, infrastructure, industry and services.
Among the largest deals was a $300M roads and infrastructure contract signed by Saudi contractor Al Rawaf. Tharaa Real Estate Development also signed supply agreements with infrastructure, construction materials and finishing suppliers for its Sham View residential project in Damascus.
Al Hassan Holding Group signed $72M in cement supply contracts with Al Jouf Cement, while Advanced Technology Systems agreed a $15M contract to deliver a water treatment and pumping stations project. The cement agreement has entered the preparation phase for implementation, the organiser said.
The exhibition brought together 356 companies from 27 countries and focused on investment and reconstruction plans in Syria, particularly across energy, industry, construction and infrastructure. It was held under the sponsorship of several Syrian ministries, the Syrian Investment Authority and business organisations.
