QNET Calls for More Digital Work and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for MENA Youth and Women

QNET is calling for broader pathways into digital work, flexible employment and entrepreneurship for young people and women across the Middle East and North Africa, as regional labor markets face mounting pressure and the digital economy continues to expand.

Hossam Kamel, the company’s regional general manager for MENA, said economic participation requires more than traditional jobs. He highlighted digital skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to adapt to changing work models.

The company cited World Bank estimates that around 300 million young people in the region could enter the workforce by 2050. It also pointed to International Labour Organization data showing youth unemployment in 2025 at 26.2% in Arab countries and 22.6% in North Africa.

Kamel said flexible work and digital entrepreneurship could give women additional ways to build businesses or income streams that fit their circumstances. He also identified communication, problem-solving and project management as important skills for the future of work.

QNET operates through a direct-selling model supported by e-commerce, marketing health, wellness and lifestyle products through independent distributors. The company said the model does not guarantee financial returns, with income depending on a distributor’s activity, effort and compliance with business requirements.

Kamel called for closer cooperation among governments, universities, financial institutions and private-sector companies to expand training, digital skills and access to financial knowledge.
