The Aqaba Entrepreneurship Network held its regular meeting at the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Community Empowerment in Aqaba to discuss stronger coordination among entrepreneurship initiatives in the governorate.
The meeting brought together representatives from public and private institutions, civil society organisations and entrepreneurship support bodies. Participants reviewed projects and programmes planned for 2026 and discussed ways to expand cooperation and reach more beneficiaries.
Rima Al Taba’a, director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Directorate at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, said the network helps align efforts, exchange expertise and direct programmes toward the needs of young people and entrepreneurs.
The centre’s director in Aqaba, Ahmad Ghneimat, also presented the organisation’s current and upcoming programmes, along with potential areas of cooperation to improve services for young people, idea-stage founders and entrepreneurs.
Led by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, the network includes 35 institutions. It was established through the Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment project, implemented by GIZ with joint funding from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union, in partnership with TTi.
