YouTube has announced a broad set of new tools to help creators analyze content, improve videos and build audiences, including AI features in its YouTube Studio app and a new way to organize Shorts into episodic series.
Ask Studio, YouTube’s AI-powered creator assistant, is expanding to iOS and Android. It can review unpublished videos, suggest improvements to pacing and storytelling, recommend titles and thumbnails, and explain performance using channel analytics and viewer comments.
The Studio app will also introduce a research feed showing content trends, along with Dynamic Thumbnails, which can generate or test up to three options across different audience segments. YouTube said creators have already run more than 40 million title and thumbnail tests. The company plans to let them compare different video cuts to identify the strongest opening hook.
Separately, Shorts Series will let creators in the YouTube Partner Program arrange short videos into seasons and episodes across web, mobile and connected TVs. YouTube said the feature is designed to support continuous, TV-style viewing rather than one-off clips.
The company also announced AI-generated custom feeds based on user prompts, expanded shopping tools, conversational editing for Shorts and new live features, including creator matchmaking and real-time translation pilots.
