Beirut-based wellness startup Superpowders is preparing to enter Saudi Arabia and Jordan after building a retail footprint of more than 1,000 locations across Lebanon.
Founded in 2023 by Youssef Taher and Andy Kazanjian, the company started with 500 bags of mushroom coffee. Each founder invested $6,000, according to the company. Superpowders has since sold more than 150,000 units and serves over 100,000 customers in Lebanon.
Its product range includes zero-sugar, zero-calorie electrolyte sachets and mushroom coffee, targeting athletes, gym-goers, busy professionals and other health-conscious consumers. The products are sold through supermarkets, pharmacies, gyms, convenience stores and online channels.
Taher, who previously worked as an investment banker in Dubai, left the sector in 2026 to run Superpowders full time. The company said it now has a full presence in Lebanon and the UAE, with plans to be operating in Saudi Arabia and Jordan by the end of October. That would bring its footprint to four markets.
The founders said the brand’s growth has been driven by a combination of functional nutrition, taste, convenience and branding.
